Politics is sports. Sports is politics. And it’s all pop culture. Here at WhatZgonnahappen, it\u2019s about political football.<\/p>\n

As for the weekly NFL picks – I am the only predictions columnist in the universe with the guts to admit I don’t know what’s going to happen in the NFL<\/p>\n

I am clueless. I predict the games anyway, mostly as a way to rant about what happened and worry about, you know, what’s gonna happen.<\/p>\n

This column began at NFLtalk.com in the late 1990s. It was modeled after the greatest predictions column ever, those by Leigh Montvile in the Boston Globe in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

In the process, I’ve added a few things to the formula. It is led by a quote or song lyric. It is sponsored by something absurd. For several years, something fatal has happened to Ray Lewis every week.<\/p>\n

And my favorite team, the Cleveland Browns, win every week in my column. Every single week… My predictions are often wrong.<\/p>\n
